I’ve been to Dubai recently and would love to share with you some of the great food experiences, and other attractions you can visit there!
While this blog is mainly about healthy recipes and nutrition articles, I love to share a glimpse of my personal life. Like when I did in my early blogging years, in this post about stress. Or when I was confused about the true definition of what I do on the blog, like I’m a writer or a blogger? And now I’m not even a travel blogger, but I love to read travel posts that it’s about food! And I want to share with you some of the delicious food I had lovely places.
I posted my humble experiences in Turkey, a country that a must visit in my opinion, especially for foodies, since it offers fresh delicious food. And, I even recreated two of their yummy traditional dishes. I truly regretted when I didn’t take the camera with me 🙁 . Well, this time I tried my best to capture delicious food dishes, yum yum :)-
Dubai
The famous Arabic city in UAE, a country that is now known for its wealth and luxurious attractions. It’s a must, to visit this city. It speaks money! I felt that everything screams, Look At Me, I’m Expensive!
This trip was focused mostly on family, but that meant, it was also food oriented too 😉 And even that this is not my first visit to Dubai, I’m deeply intrigued and impressed on how Dubai changed every time. I tried many restaurants this time, but just a few stood out really. And I had lots of burgers 😉
Dubai Design District
It’s one of the few places that I was truly interested in. It’s known as d3 . This place has many art pieces that exhibited in the area between the surrounding buildings. I truly wanted to take photos of the art pieces, but I needed a permit and that’s not so cool.
It has many restaurants, cafes- like every corner in Dubai– shops, galleries, and showrooms. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to visit all of the showrooms, but planning on it, on my next visit! But I loved this shop- I can’t remember its name :(- it has pieces of untypical patterns, and actually some of them related to food brands that are well known in Jordan!
Now let’s talk about food!
Well, I went to many restaurants, well many are under international food chains, but just a few really stood out! However, there are so many great looking restaurants with very interesting menus, but when you are with the family, you need to let others decide too 😛
A small coffee house for an international brand specialized in espresso, is located in Dubai design district. I’ve heard so much about it, and I thought I must pay it a visit!
They have different coffee brands of different origins. Some are acidic, and others are more on fruity notes. Every day, they chose few ones and highlight them. However, they should really do some free tasting for who loves coffee, like me :D. It’s really hard to choose.
I got an espresso macchiato, which is espresso with a dash of cream. However, it was light and not very bitter, but not great too! The owner checked on us, asked about the satisfaction of drinks and the service, such a nice gesture.
Zaroob
A Levant street food style restaurant. It tastes so good, and love how crowded it was on the middle of the day . Mana’eesh and hummus are the stars 🙂 loved the simple decor and it’ expressive and very representative for the old streets style in Syria, Palestine And Lebanon.
Salt
A food truck for burgers and fries. Well more than that, they host some activities too. It’s very popular now, you can hardly get a table on the weekends .The staff is friend and you can feel the positive vibes 🙂
They serve free range and hormone free wagyu beef. Their burger is light and flavorful. But their menus is limited. But that’s the point, simple menu and more fun. They located on beaches like Kite beach and La mer too. We had classic burgers, and fries too.
And They offer coffee, and shakes too 🙂
And here is my son enjoying himself on their couch 🙂
And playing with sunny eggs !!
And Bing-Ball too 🙂
Thank for reading and stay tuned for part 2 🙂
