Today I have for you an easy recipe for a strawberry basil shake, it’s packed with juicy sweet strawberries. It is a power house of nutrients , it is naturally sweetened and vegan too. Plus high in fiber too!
Hello hello there 🙂
It’s been months since I post anything here on the blog, mainly because of the technical problems with hosting, servers, malware, and so on.
And guess what, we moved again! While I don’t like to share personal stuff online like before, sharing here on the blog is kind of different than sharing on social media directly. This time, we settle in Dubai, in united Arab emirates, I bet you heard of it?
And because I wanted to focus on different ways to deliver my message about healthy food. like selIing products, , or healthy cooking classes, and also exploring food photography for clients. However, I spent most of the last year offline, and I was so happy about it. I always had the chance to create a recipe and post it, but I didn’t, I was just too busy, and feel like I see people interaction more than just posting recipes here.
Bu after my blog was down, the first month I said it’s okay, I’m not posting already. Months after, I felt really sad, the blog to me, is more than just a page that helps me earn little income. It’s an outlet, it’s the place that helped me know what I want, like what I like to post, how I see healthy food, what diets really works. It is really a big part of my life, and I’m so glad its back. And more importantly, YOU, my readers, supported me a lot through this journey, and I won’t let you down again.
Do you still read blogs, or you more of a Instagram , snap chat or YouTube person?
I made this shake, almost a year ago, and couldn’t post it at time, and then strawberry was out of season. I believe it’s better to post recipes for seasonal ingredients. The produce price will be more convenient and the produce itself, strawberry here, will be definitely juicer, fuller and tastier!
My son loves strawberry so much, and he asks me a lot to have strawberry smoothie when we are out. However, many restaurants or small shops, use strawberry powder or frozen one. However, frozen, is not a bad choice at all, but they add tons of sugar. So I thought of making it at home, will be way healthier for him.
I have a vegan version, but you can definitely use cow milk. And actually my son loves milk and we don’t have allergies or something, but I love to encourage my son to try other flavors , especially if they are plant based. I used almond cream instead of almond milk, to have a creamy texture just like the smoothies that are made of ice cream.
First time I saw “Strawberry and basil” combo in a cupcake in a local cafe in Iowa in the U.S. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try it, but I know I would love it, and I wanted to recreate this combo in a healthy form. and also by the talented bloggers I follow on Instagram , their beautiful photos of juicy strawberries, made me want to develop more recipes with strawberry. Its nice really to make people love again the real food instead of all junk that is around us.
