It’s cold here now, which rarely happens in Dubai. Today, when I cam back from outside feeling so cold, and remember that I have these bar waiting for me. I’ve reheated one and it was Aaaaaaamazing!!!!!
So now Imagine with me how a hot oatmeal apple bar coming straight out from the oven, would taste like! It is a real treat! And totally healthy! The warm spice, the subtle sweetness and the comfort of chewy bars, is yummy, and so relaxing. These bars are fudgy more like blondie maybe. So they are perfect for breakfast with warm cup of milk or coffee.
I’ve made recipes with apples on the blog before. But this one, it’s like the star! Here, we don’t have enormous apple varieties like the U.S . You can use granny smith, which they stay frim, however, I don’t like them, much, I used a variety that is firm, but got soft in baking,
Why these apple oatmeal bars:
- Apples: It’s a low calorie food, and has a high content of water, which makes you feel full. It can lower the bad cholesterol , and reduce risk of diabetes, and other chronic diseases too.

I have lots of recipes of oatmeal on the blog. I paired it with many fruits with, in a bowl or bars. I always try my best to fit in the season. While we don’t have fall here in Dubai, this winter feels a lot like fall. Therefore, I thought these apples bars a must have now!
These bars are very easy to make, kind of like one bowl recipe, and also customizable. You can add different sweeteners, I found male syrup sweetness. and coconut sugar nice and help with shaping the texture and less spices for brighter color too. You can also add nuts, walnuts, almond , peanuts all sounds really good. Also, if you want a bit of extra sugar and dazzle, any kind of chips would be amazing, cinnamon, butterscotch or peanut butter. However they are really amazing just the way they are!
Enjoy!
