One of my childhood recipes, a Palestinian one that I grew up eating happily in the cold winter. This is not your typical dessert that is loaded with sugar and cream. Lebanese Semolina pudding (Layali Lebnan)
This is also a family favorite recipe, well the family I grew up with , not my small family, the ones that don’t appreciate cream 😀 . This recipe is also made with semolina (The base of most levant desserts) mixed with milk to make a solid base. Then topped with fresh cream, and crushed pistachio. And finished with a heavy sugar syrup that is scented with rose water or orange blossom water, and served cold.
