A small B & B hotel “Beit Aziz” , that is authentic old style house that was built in the nineteenth century, at the top of Salt City in Jordan. A great view with a breezy air. It’s a must visit place!
I know it’s unusual here to post about restaurants, or hotels I go to, but this one “beit aziz” was really special, and even better that I went with my sisters and mum 🙂 . It was my first time being in Al-Salt city. It’s full of old building and it feels really alive, with mountains, and hills. It’s full of small local shops, this city is full of love and authenticity!
This building has 6 room only, but they are planing to make the whole building a hotel, and the next old house a restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn’t get photos for the rooms and the old stairs (It was a bit hard to climb it) . But even when they are old design, they are modern, and have the comfort means.
Beit Aziz
This was our breakfast table, white cheese, labneh, stuffed eggplant preserved in olive oil, foul mudammas, and baked eggs in the oven, and mofarkeh potato (small diced potato half fried, then mixed with eggs) and there was hummus too! The food is all local , very delicious, and fresh. I loved it all, especially the dish of local tomatoes with cheese, yummy!
I went again and lunch, it was a bit disappointed, but mainly because of the timing , management the table. But because they cook everything fresh , it takes time I guess. Better for you to go for a breakfast, or getting tea or coffee. ( yes an empty cup, had it all 😉 )
Here is the entrance from an another angel
And here is a video showing a small local project, and a visit from the queen Rania,
And here are the side settings,
This is the main dinning room. It’s new but they kept the old design, you see the arches?
Here is the view from the top! Really it’s breathtaking and wonderful!
